About Our Artists

Phoebe Foong
Phoebe is 6 years old, and her dream is to become the most famous princess ballerina in the world! Besides world domination (through her cuteness and incredible ballet poise), Phoebe's other pastime is drawing. Just give her a piece of paper and a pencil and watch her go! Her fantastical imagination comes to life on any blank canvas she can find - even on the back of restaurant receipts or McDonald's serviettes! Phoebe believes in following her dreams, singing in every situation, and smiling at everyone.

Rayna Chew
Rayna is a teenager who has loved drawing since young. She spends pockets of her free time doodling, learning new techniques and honing her skills. She also enjoys sketching characters out of the story books she has read. She aspires to be a kindergarten teacher as she loves to teach and share her knowledge with young children.

Ky Elle
Ky Elle has a background in Product and Furniture design and has worked in the design studio for a few years before she decided to venture into illustrations. She is a 3D design graduate from Kingston University in London. She also frequently visits her second home, NAFA where it all started. Apart from creating and making beautiful things, she loves to explore! Be it places, things, food or sports. Her dream is to make this world a better place to live through her works.

@grumpepanda by Martin
When Martin isn't busy doodling he spends lots of time with his kids, who enjoys his story telling through the art of pencil and paper. Martin is an enthusiastic artist who loved art since he was in primary school. Old habits are hard to forget as the mind wanders to exciting places with quirky things to see and do. Check out his art on Instagram @grumpepanda.

Adine
When Adine’s not drawing her heart out, she can be seen photographing the streets or dancing (not on the streets, unfortunately) to the beat of her own drum. She works in the education industry, reads anything from ingredient lists to self-help books and draws fervently under the hashtag - #CarouselleOnTumblr on Instagram. Adine enjoys Marvel and DC, but also has a soft spot for the Peanuts gang.  She draws to spread joy and to ignite a sense of wonder in a thwarted world…or at least, in her own little corner of the internet.

Ashley & Lucas
Ashley and Lucas are a pair of 8 years of twins. Despite being twins, both of them have lots of difference towards their liking and thoughts but the only similarity they have will be drawing! They show very strong interest in drawing and they love to express themselves through drawing too. Ashley hopes to be a art teacher when she grows up and Lucas hopes that everyone will enjoy his drawing as much as himself.

Ryo

Ryo is an artist and handcrafts anything from jewellery to cheongsams. In primary school, she'd sew her own pencil cases and dolls dresses. In Secondary school, she was invited to paint murals on school walls and her school principal's portrait! In Junior College, she won drawing competitions and was invited to paint a Singpost letter box inside the Singapore Management University. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new materials & mediums to create new stuff or just learn the way things work. Ryo strongly believes that it is through Art that we can not only activate thought and imagination but also nurture curiosity, intuition, and the quest for answers - motivating us to understand the world around us. Ryo also thinks #ohmymats is a great idea for pre-schoolers and up because it really helped significantly reduce screen time for her two kiddos!

Mdm Koo

Mdm Koo is a passionate school teacher who left the service to pursue her own interests. Besides spending time with her young daughters, she is also writing a book and exploring being a YouTuber. She self-produces all her videos and regularly posts about her life. As her love for teaching is still deep, she also posts educational videos on Math & Science. In her free time, she loves to doodle and explore other forms of arts like composing her own tunes to be used with her videos.

@mushdoodles by Isabelle
Isabelle is a children programme coordinator and loves illustrating children's material. Drawing and doodling has been her passion and its a joy to her to see children liking her illustrations. Check out her doodles on Instagram @mushdoodles.

Quentin
Quentin is a fun-loving 7-year-old boy who is on the Autism Spectrum. His love for animals became evident when he would bellow “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and “Baa Baa Black Sheep” with great gusto all day, singing at 12 months before he could speak in sentences. He draws mainly animals, in vivid imaginary scenarios, and always in great detail, all without any formal art training. Farm animals remain one of his favourites, as he aspires to be a farmer one day, so that he can be close to his cows and horses. Elephants and lions often feature in his artworks which are peppered with a host of other wild animals too. Quentin dreams of being a farmer, a zookeeper and going on a safari in Africa, and perhaps his art could one day fund his dreams, if not his therapies.

Quintessa
Quintessa is a tinkerer at heart. Quintessa naturally gravitates towards working out electrical circuitry, building things out of recyclable materials, cooking, baking and assembling detailed puzzles, to express her curiosity and alleviate her anxiety as a child with Asperger Syndrome. Affectionately known as an Aspie to her parents (or an Asparagus, according to how she first heard the word Asperger), she draws about anything that captures her imagination, with her favourites being woodland animals. She hopes that her art can make people smile, and perhaps lead her towards her dream of owning a sewing machine one day.
